This research is grounded in quantitative and qualitative data from the 2023 national Digital Platform Work in Australia Survey. Specifically, this paper explores the extent and nature of geographies of participation including intersections with migrant labour, experiences of collective and individual agency, transformations triggered and sustained by Covid -19 restrictions to mobility, along with analysis of informing and interrelated gendered dimensions of participation (for example gig work undertaken in private spaces and in the care economy).  Platform work in Australia is a dynamic (not always new) world of work, articulating complex inequalities centred on labour across public and private spaces.
