Nicola McGunnigle
Nicola is in her final year of full time PhD research at the University of Adelaide. Her field of research brings together over twenty years’ professional environmental science experience and her understanding of community development in Nepal gained in NGO roles. Through interviews and community surveys Nicola's current project is providing farmers' perceptions to evaluate the socio-ecological costs and benefits of naturally regenerating forest on abandoned agricultural land. Her research project is titled: Restoring forests on underutilised and abandoned land in middle hills Nepal for sustainable development.
