Salene Schloffel-Armstrong
Salene is a feminist urban geographer, whose work is concerned with public space, social infrastructure and the possibility of envisaging alternative, caring urban futures. She is currently finishing a thesis that interrogates the changing role and responsibility of the public library within the contemporary city. Her work explores sites of care and social reproduction in the city that illustrate already partially existing alternatives to our current political and economic system, and their potential for envisioning different urban futures.
